Since CupofMood was originally part of Reclaiming My Spirit, I initially used the same logo as Reclaiming My Spirit. You know, this one.
However, once I launched my Etsy Shop, and started thinking about launching the actual website CupofMood, it became clear, I would need a new logo that specifically represented the brand that has now evolved to Khadeeja’s CupofMood.
For the sake of continuity, I knew I would work with the artist who created the Reclaiming My Spirit logo. I wanted the woman from that logo, who is supposed to resemble me, to look similar in the logo for Cup of Mood.
This was the first version.
Then, this version where I added the earrings from the Reclaiming My Spirit logo and the actual logo the the cup,
I liked these versions but it felt like something was missing. What could it be? My glasses, of course! I wasn’t really sure if I was going to include my glasses. Especially because I lost my FAVORITE glasses in Galveston.
In case you don’t know the story about how I lost my beloved glasses, here’s the emotional video I did about losing them.
I am happy to say, Michael did encourage me to replace my purple glasses, so thankfully, they’ll be back soon.
In the meantime, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to include my glasses in the logo. They aren’t in the Reclaiming My Spirit logo. That was primarily because I wore my contacts a lot more back then.
In the last year since I’ve retired, I seem to be more prone to wearing my glasses. I’ve even picked up some new ones recently. (I’ll save that for another story).
I decided I would let my awesome TikTok followers, help me decide. You can see for yourself, what they said.
So, it was time to see some versions of the logo with glasses. This came next.
I liked the glasses but, I needed the lipstick to match the glasses. (Y’all know, that’s how I roll!) I also decided I wanted more of a pastel pink instead of the hot pink.
Next came this version.
Then, finally, with a few more tweaks, I came to this version.
And, of course, I made a video about the whole thing! Here it is.
So, tell me what you think of the logo. You can leave a comment here or on any of my social media channels.
Namaste.
