Mother’s Day Trip
I’ve kind of gotten into a pattern I hope to turn into a tradition during Mother’s Day; going to the Caribbean for Mother’s Day. Last year with the pandemic still somewhat in effect but restrictions loosening, we took a trip to Puerto Rico. We had a fabulous time as you can tell from this Tiktok video!
Mother’s Day 2022
This year we decided to go to Turks and Caicos.
We had been one time previously but only on a cruise so we had a limited experience. In fact, we only saw Grand Turk because that was the cruise port at that time.
First Stop, Bugaloo’s
Bugaloo’s was literally our first stop after the airport. It was everything you would want your first meal in a tropical paradise to be.
The Menu
Bugaloo’s full name is Bugaloo’s Conch Crawl. As the name implies, it specializes in all kinds of conch dishes. It even has a section with an Asian twist.
Crispy Conch Dumplings
The Crispy Conch Dumplings were simply delightful!
Fresh Fried Red Snapper
Michael and I love fresh fried snapper whenever we’re in the Caribbean and when you can find it locally. Bugaloo’s did not disappoint.
The Drinks
The cocktail menu is relatively limited but they do have the standard beach drinks and a couple with a Caribbean twist.
