How It Started
It’s hard to believe in May of last year, I was literally asking people to help me get to 1,000 followers so I could Go Live from Puerto Rico. This is a screenshot from the TikTok video I posted.
July 2021
I was thrilled when I hit 10k followers by mid Summer last year.
September 2021
I could hardly believe it when I doubled the number of followers by September!
Phenomenal Growth!
Though I saw the numbers climbing, I was still in awe when I hit 100k followers roughly 6 months after getting to 20k followers! I was most satisfied with the growth I began experiencing at this point because it was purposeful and targeted to the right type of people being in the community.

Over 40k Followers In 3 Weeks!
To say I was shocked was an understatement but it certainly felt good! In my book, 3 Super Simple Tips For An Awesome TikTok Experience, I talk a lot about how important it is to check in on your feelings when you’re consuming content on TikTok. In the book I talk about why this is so important and the hard lesson I learned.
A Special Celebration!
I really enjoyed hitting this milestone! One because it was really big milestone number of followers in my community but also because my family was around to share my joy! They helped me honor the occasion by doing a dance routine in this video. You can see why I don’t do many of the dance challenges.
As of today!
I’m so happy to be able to continue to grow my community and enjoy it. By applying the 3 Simple Tips (and quite honestly the Bonus Tip, too) I have found daily connections with people I’ve never met but who feel like some of my closest friends who I enjoy spending time with every day.
