Starfish Point Beach was one of the Caribbean Bucket List items I didn’t even know I had before my latest visit to Grand Cayman. Returning to the Cayman Islands was something Michael and I wanted to do ever since our first trip in 2019.
Grand Cayman Part 1
You can see a quick video recap of that trip here. We had a great time but this time we decided to take after some of our other recent travel adventures. We rented a car so we could really explore Grand Cayman.
That included making a visit to Starfish Point Beach.
Getting To Starfish Point Beach
If you’re visiting Grand Cayman by cruise, you can plan an excursion to go to visit this wonderful beach. In that case, you’re most likely to go buy boat. It’s the most direct way from the cruise port.
However, if you’re in town, have time and rent a car, you can take the long and scenic route. From one side of the other to the other, it will take you about an hour more or less depending on your starting point.
What’s Behind The Name Starfish Point Beach?
According to the sign you see above, apparently there used to be many more starfish that inhabited this area of the island. It says now only a few remain. I am pleased to say, I saw my fair share of them while visiting.
Let’s Start Exploring Starfish Point Beach
The water all over the island, including here, is crystal clear. Let me clarify. Warm and crystal clear. It made the experience of looking for and siting starfish both enjoyable and fun.
In fact, I didn’t even have to get fully wet to see all the starfish I saw. You can see how clear the water is on this video.
So Many Starfish, So Easy To See
Finding starfish in the crystal clear, warm and tranquil waters was super easy. As you can see from some of the pictures, they’re pretty easy to see. You can see it even better in the video below.
So Many I Lost Count!
After being there for only about 30 minutes, I had already lost count of how many starfish I saw. It really didn’t matter. It was a really fun time. You can see more in the video below.
Starfish Point Beach, It’s A Vibe!
The whole vibe at Starfish Point Beach is laid back. It’s a wonderful family vibe. You’ll see families out there picnicking, grilling, swimming, dancing and all kinds of having beach fun.
It also felt very safe. There were friendly, and dare I say, attractive police officers checking in and greeting people. Just like this Black King shown below. Is it just me or does he favor Idris Elba?
Shop The Look
I loved this cute and colorful beach hat and I wore it with a few different outfits while we were vacationing in Grand Cayman. You can find this and other beachy keen items for an awesome beach day in my Idea List or at my Amazon Storefront.
I’ve been joking lately how I’ve developed this embarrassing sense of modesty the older I get. It started with buying bikinis with more coverage. I found some like this one above on Amazon and have really enjoyed them.
Since we lost all of our clothes in the house fire, I had to buy new swimsuits. I knew exactly the kind I would get. It fits great and provides a little more coverage than the average bikini.
I also rather enjoy the retro look, too. You can find the Angerella Women Vintage Polka Dot High Waisted Bathing Suits Bikini Set and more like it at my Amazon Storefront.
These phone cases were a great price and worked really well. Stay tuned for another post where I show the ProCase Universal Waterproof Case Phone Dry Bag Pouch for iPhone in action.

Have You Been?
If you’ve been to Starfish Point Beach, drop me some comments and let me know what you thought of it. I have so much more to show you from Grand Cayman so stay tuned.
Until next time,
Namaste,
