If you’re thinking about a unique spa experience to add to your Christmas Wishlist, look no further than the Ancient Aire Spas. There are only 8 in the world and only 2 in the United States. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing both of the locations in the United States, New York and Chicago.
What is Ancient Aire?
It might be easier to start with what Ancient Aire is not. It isn’t your typical day spa. It’s more of a Bath House than traditional spa. The locations are always set in these old, restored buildings that adds a modern, throwback, funky, relaxed vibe that is best experienced in person.

Ancient Aire New York
I had a chance to experience Ancient Aire New York last year before the pandemic shut everything down. Michael took me there for my birthday and we were able to enjoy the baths together and then we enjoyed a wonderful couples massage.
Ambiance in the lobby
Ancient Aire New York certainly knew how to roll out the red carpet and make you feel like a VIP. Not only do they serve you champagne while you wait to be taken back for your services ( you can also opt to wait until the end);
but they also had a live violinist playing.
